what kind of stories/books do you read?
I read
Mysteries
Historical Fiction
Classics
I'm currently reading a interesting series called "The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter" There are only two real people characters in the first 5 books (Beatrix is one) and her future spouse is another one. Yes there are talking animals too.

I normally read biographies. Well, either those, or anything in literary fiction if it appeals to me.
I mainly like gritty realism and stories that focus on the darker side of life.

I read Horror books mainly. I'm reading one called the Montrumologist tight now, and oh my god does that book give me nightmares. It's like the most brutal horror movie you can think of, but on pages. AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH

Fantasies and Sci fis, and idk alot of random books. I like to read alot of different stuff. One of my favorite books is called Eve and it's about Eve's life after her and Adam get kicked out of the garden of Eden. I like Zombie stories too, but I can't do serial killer stuff, TOO SCARY!

I'm still trying to track down a copy of "The Woman in Black" (I cannot find it anywhere!!!!! ). I really want to read it before I see the movie. I read that the author hired an "assistant" to type up the hand written version, and the assistant quit because it scared the crap out of her (or something like that....)
Re: what kind of stories/books do you read?
Hm...
Horror
SF
Fantasy
Crime novels
And what I like best are books that mix these genres

Isn't Woman in Black a novel by the same author as who wrote Moonstone?

I don't think so. The Moonstone (this is the only book I'm able to find so I don't know if this is the one you're referring to) is written by Wilkie Collins.
The Woman in Black (the one I am referring to) was written by Susan Hill. It's a horror story. Hollywood made a movie based on the book and it comes out in February 2012.
And might I just add...without sounding like a creepy "old" lady...Daniel Radcliff looks handsome in this movie!

I only read what school forces me to read... The last book was called "1, 2, 3 nu" which means "1, 2, 3 now" < <

I don't know the story. Are they the same story? Or do they just share the same title? There is a book called "The Woman in Black" that is by another author...it's been a pain trying to find the one by Susan Hill...
Re: what kind of stories/books do you read?
I used to love to read but with my vision issues I get headaches unless it's really large print so it takes me forever to finish a book... Currently I'm working my way thru The Lord of the Rings series again, including The Hobbit I'm almost finished with The Fellowship of the Ring finally...
I'm not embarrassed to say I'm a big fan of historical romances lol, not cheesy trash novels, I prefer them to be based loosely on real life events, JoAnna Lindsey is a fave for example, I like them to have some substance...
I also love gossip mags! Junk food for the brain

I mostly only read Historical books. Historical Fiction. Anything to do with Greek Mythology, or any mythology also. I like Popular Fiction too ~ pretty much what everyone else likes to read & what's popular at the moment.

I love the gossip mags too! I used to buy them weekly. My favorite is US Magazine. I just go to their site now...saves me $2-4 a week.
Re: what kind of stories/books do you read?
Gossip mags while soaking in a hot bath! Pure bliss! I like People but I'll read them all, online I'm a TMZ addict lol....
Re: what kind of stories/books do you read?
I used to watch TMZ all the time, but not so much anymore. Same with Entertainment Tonight.
Re: what kind of stories/books do you read?

Re: what kind of stories/books do you read?
So I made TMN the other day for talking about "The Woman In Black" in this thread.
If anyone wants to read it:

Maybe I should've specified that I cannot find the book in any stores in my area. And...I never thought to order it from Amazon.

Depends on what you mean by creeped out... I read some books that coincidentially all happened to take place in medievil times, and it crept me out to realize that one character was referring to events the other book had been about
