NEW HOUSE - Suburban Family Dream - (Not bad!)
Hi everyone!
So, building is not usually my thing. The typical house I make is a scrunched little box, thrown together with little/no planning.
But this one was made using a plan off the internet. I'm REALLY pleased with it. It's not spectacular but it's major improvement for me!
[list]CC-free
Play tested (it caught on fire but no big deal!)
5 bedrooms (3 room, 1 den, 1 skills room)
2 bathrooms
laundry room
two-story great room[*]
Link for download: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=4249587
Great room
Kitchen
Master bedroom + master bath
Laundry
Upstairs view of great room
First floor
Second floor

It's so cute! I love little suburban houses like theses. Lately I've been making larger houses, but I love small houses. I love when the space inside is tight and cozy, but I'd hate it IRL being claustrophobic....
Re: NEW HOUSE - Suburban Family Dream - (Not bad!)
That's funny you say this house is small, because for my standards it's really big Usually I do one story little boxes haha. But Thank you!

Haha yeah, fire prone! As I was play-testing, my sim lit a fire and went off to read a book. Well, of course everything in my brand new living room was catching on fire... No big deal
But yeah I hate layouts, mine always turn out as a bunch of squares. This one was inspired from a floor plan I found online though, there's some great inspiration out there from google! It helped with this layout a ton.

I have a love/hate relationship with building from floorplans. I love it because it's done all the hard work for me. But I hate it because I can never get it quite right for the game.
But it looks like you did a nice job! I love that Master bathroom. And the roof is awesome. I normally use AutoRoof.

Some of it was autoroof, but I did about half. Roofs never go the direction I want

Oh, you are quite the builder, simtow! I love the layout!
And I agree with York on his second statement... but I think I've seen her before. Obviously from TV? Perhaps?
Anyway, lovely house!
