Which urban legends do you think are impossible?

Have you heard the Bunny Man?

Wikepedia: The Bunny Man is an urban legend that probably originated from two incidents in Fairfax County, Virginia in 1970, but has been spread throughout the Washington D.C. area. There are many variations to the legend, but most involve a man wearing a rabbit costume ("bunny suit") who attacks people with an axe. Many variations occur around "Bunny Man Bridge", the concrete tunnel of a Southern Railway overpass on Colchester Road in Clifton. Story variations include the origin of the Bunny Man, names, motives, weapons, victims, description of the bunny suit, and the possible death of the Bunny Man. In some accounts the Bunny Man's ghost or aging spectre is said to come out of his place of death each year on Halloween to commemorate his death. In some accounts, victims' bodies are mutilated.

Actually there is a small series of by now four books, written by a guy who has done years of research in the field of Urban Legends, or rather FOF- Tales.

They are fun to read and don't only tell the legends, but also give a short summary of the history and origins of each story. I don't know if they are available in english, but the legends are from all over the world.

They are called

"Die Spinne in der Yuccapalme" - The spider in the yucca palm tree
"Die Maus im Jumbo Jet" - The mouse on the jumbo jet
"Das Huhn mit dem Gipsbein" - The chicken with the plastered leg
and
"Die Ratte am Stohhalm" - The rat at the straw

Not something that's impossible.. but a lot of people believe that the reason Disney doesn't have mothers in movies because he felt responsible for his own mother's death.

@anna the Spider in the Yucca Palm tree.. there's a simliar story here in North America..or the plant is a Cactus.

A lot of Disney movies have mothers in them that don't either die or become evil, then die.


There's actually more than that, but I can't find a complete picture.

I mean if the parent(s) didn't die we wouldn't have The Jungle Book OR Tarzan..now would we? Or Cinderella ..the nickname comes from her step-family. When I was at Euro-Disney during the summer one of the washroom (and there was quiet little about washrooms there) had Queen Leah (Aurora's mom) for the women's restroom and King Stefan for the Men's.

I can name all but 2 of the movies..in that picture. As far as I'm aware no birth- moms in Disney movies (step-moms don't count) don't care.

when I'm talking about moms..I'm talking about the moms of the main characters.

I mean you see that Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pochantas (some people say..that the wind that follows Pokey around is her mother's spirit).. don't have moms. Aladdin WAS suppose to have a mom in his story..but that was dropped.

well I never seen Tarzan, or Hercules..but I can tell which ones in the Disney movie are their's. I never seen Emperor's New Grove..(which I hear takes place in South America and its the first Disney movie..which show a pregant woman).

I can name the majority of the films in the picture.

Ouh, I thought you said I could only name 2, not all but 2.

lol. I can name all but two Disney films... on there.. if you want to be technical TLK has 2 moms--Simba's mom and Nala's mom. But Bambi mom's gets killed, as does Tarzan's human parents, and of course the "man cub" human parents.. but those 2 "man cubs" get raised by animals.
