Making a Self-Simself

So, I'm making a Simself of myself, myself... o.e
I suck at sim creation, so I need a few tips etc.
(I'm using me phone as a Mirror type thing to copy from)
Right now, I'm working on a very defining part of my face, my nose.
It's annoying me because it's basically a big triangle.
^It's almost as though we're related...^
So yeah, it's difficult for me to make simselves.
I usually just make something that 'vaguely recollects' the idea of who I'm making.
I'm doing it myself because I was banned last time I asked on the officials.

Yeah.
I don't think I can do this.
But I need a half-decent one for my forum Birthday Party. (I'm having a sleepover at my sim's house, everyone's invited!

It helps if you take profile view pics and a front view pic of your face, and also if you make it with your webcam up (it helped me a lot) but it can still be heard to get it right D:

Yes, these are definitely tips to follow. I've spent hours getting my simself right and it still only looks vaguely like me, but the features that were copied from a photo made all in difference in what resemblance there is.

Your nose, Sam, is a hill compared to my mountain of a nose, to but it simply but rather, and regrettably, dirt-ily.
The last time I made a simself my eyes bled.

It may have been a slight exaggeration then
