What world do you play in?

I am used to the CAW forum on the EA site where people create and promote their own worlds for others to download, in addition to giving tips on works in progress. I am wondering what world(s) the Simstopia members play in? Sunset Valley? Twinbrook?

I usually play in several worlds at one time. I download A LOT of worlds and I've gotten many CC diseases from The Exchange but I keep on downloading. It is so fun to see the worlds that others have created.

I've found that, as far as I'm concerned, Barnacle Bay is the most attractive EA world.

So what world(s) are you all playing in?

I am currently in SV, but I have families in RV, TB, and Rflong's Broken Heart Island ~II~ which is my favorite; however, I noticed that if my sim had a career in politics they would say something was in their way because of how it was built (she built a building to go through then down stairs to the city hall building). The same thing happened with the movie theater, and it annoyed me so much that they would go to the property and complain of something being in their way that I went back to SV.

I haven't played in any world beyond LE's "Castaway Island V.2" for months. I really just prefer a tiny world, due to my loading times sucking, otherwise.

I play in the Sunset Valley (second edition). Can't remember who made it, but it's awesome.

Yeah. Rflong has a lot of worlds and they appear to be high quality. Honestly, I don't think I've ever downloaded one of hers. I take that back, I think I did download Longview. I intend to download the Moon Base Charlie world. I hope to do that before summer is over. I get so distracted by other worlds on The Exchange and other websites.

I play my own world, Sakura Blossom Hills.
I'm working on another world now I want to play instead though XD

I used to play in Twinbrook - it is my favorite EA world. but it had so many routing issues that I've moved to Sunset Valley.

I miss Twinbrook, but at least Sunset Valley has a nice beach

Have you seen Twinbrook's beach? Rofl. Nah, I like Sunset Valley's beach because I can put lots actually on the beach. Lil' beach shacks.

I like the "Louisianian" idea of Twinbrook and what they tried to make it. There's just something about it that frustrates me and I'm not sure what. Maybe all of the oddly sized lots downtown. I do like the lot on the tip of the Poker Flats. Good views from there.

Twinbrooks are bad too, yes XD

I didn't actually play in a while, just build and build and build. BUT, the last time I ever played properly, was in a world of my own. I built it ages ago, maybe last summer, I'm not sure. I love it, but as I made it so long ago... it isn't exactly the best-made world. But, that is why I plan to re-do it!

York - Rflong's Moon Base Delta is superior. I swear, I have seen nothing like it, and it is one of the few worlds that I still have installed into my game. It is a work of art. By far.

I play in BridgePort and Sunset Valley

I am missing Sunset Valley so much thought... <3

I haven't been brave enough to DL any user created world yet.. I have ventured into CAW a few times and always end up even more confused about the type of world I should have XD I don't DL stuff with attached cc, and have changed SV so it's the way I like it (but I will keep changing parts as I keep playing)... wouldn't want to do that with another world just yet XD

But if anyone has any worlds that are CC free, have space for community lots from all EPs and plenty of residential lots, feel free to rec them to me please!

I really like Bridgeport. The small apartments really irritate me though, I wish they had more bedrooms. And the suburban area SUCKS. It's way too small. But yes, I love all that Bridgeport has to offer, because it combines Ambitions with Late Night really well.

However, Sunset Valley is a very close second. Riverview and Twinbrook, I rarely play.

Generally, I play SV. It's my go-to town. But I like Twinbrook too. There's something about Riverview that I can't quite put my finger on, but I don't really like it. I've never played a game there long enough to get to know it, I guess.

And I've never downloaded any other worlds, mainly because I'm scared of all the bad CC that could come with it. Are there some good, safe ones out there?

There is SOMETHING about Bridgeport that I do like too. I think it's the dark weather. I hate the clubs and the fugly suburban houses where the celebs live (really, who designed these?) but the views of the city from across the bridge are really cool.

I haven't stepped foot in SV since sometime in 2009.

yes there are After spending oodles of time in the CAW section of the officials, you come to know and trust some of the builders. Actually, quite a few CAWsters are cc-free builders because of the Sims3 community's rightful fear of CC. A few builders that I tend to look up to are Rflong, Auntielynds and Johnnywr. All create these stunning worlds without any cc. Conorsim has quite a few nice worlds, however I know he is working on some creepy cc now. I would also recommend some of those to you after he gets them all sparkly clean. Lastly, Docksprock has his own style, and builds CC-free as well.

I know there are lots of other reputable creators out there that are cc-free, however the above mentioned creators tend to suit my personal tastes. Also, a lot of us creators tend to develop a "style". You may find that you like multiple worlds by the same creator so feel free to give them a try.

I have one in beta that is CC-free (I will get a thread here one of these days), but its a tropical one that may not suit everyone's tastes. It requires all EPs. You can find it here at the TS3 site: Carambola Island



ETA: Also, are you familiar with the Custard tool from ModtheSims? The MTS site is down temporarily for maintenance, however there is a program that allows you to check all of the sims3packs you d/l off the exchange/mediafire/etc for any unwanted cc. It will give you the option to remove these items so that you can use the file safely.

Kateness - what Amaholus said. I don't know where people are getting this idea that most custom worlds have evil CC. Most tell if there is CC included or not (OOPSS!!! ).

I just heard about her! It's tragic. I used to LOVE Longview and Broken Heart Island so much. The fact that she's removing them just makes me sad.

She removed all of her worlds except Winter Wonderland from the Exchange, download locations and the World Index.

Yeah. What is the point though? Remember when she disappeared? Something is odd.
