Aurora Skies

What do you guys think (from what we know right now) of the new world coming out, Aurora Skies?

I like it, from the pictures. Especially the view of the whole town. The large waterfalls in the back make me immediately think of "Paradise Falls". And I love the way the sky looks during the winter season.









Like I need a new world...I still haven't played in Monte Vista, Appaloosa Plains, or Starlight Shores (is that the name? )

Not my thing at all. It looks kind of unfinished to me... and apart from that, same here- I hardly play any other worlds than Sunlit Tides, Mesa Valley and Sunset Valley anyway

I agree. It looks unfinished. I think it's something with the trees that throws me off. In any case, I will say I love the falls, and I love the sky. I love that they've thrown in aurora borealis and that alone makes me almost want to buy it. But not quite. I want to see more info on it first.

And yeah I still haven't played Monte Vista. The others I've managed to dabble in.

I never even noticed the town! I was too focused on the sky and the waterfalls!

Looking at the town...NOW. Yeah the town area does look thrown together.
Yeah, the trees seem to be sporadically thrown here and there, and leave some weird areas that have gaps where there should be trees.
The town, though, sort of reminds me of a few towns (minus the waterfalls) that were sort of, not kept up with time, in Maine. You'd be driving along, trees everywhere, then next thing you know, you're in an opening and before you can blink you've driven through a small town and are now back in the woods.

That doesn't sound half bad, hehe. I dunno, I guess it's just the way it's done in the world. It's entirely possible that that is exactly what they were trying to accomplish. The terrain paint looks a little weird to me too.

It does! I almost wonder if they wanted to promote it and threw it out there then post-edited the pics in photoshop or something. That's what it looks like to me...a quick, not so great photo editing job.

I just hope it looks better by the time they release it. I already got plans to tear down the lots and rebuild them since this looks like it will a fairly small world. Wheels are turning up there.

Hehehe. I think it would be a good world to play around with. I don't like the colorful houses. I never really have, not even real life ones. I'd probably try to do Cape Cod style homes with earthy color schemes.

But yeah, I mean I still do kinda want it just for the skies alone. Being an astronomy nut, I love anything happening in the sky, and having the northern lights in a world is just awesome to me.

LOVE the idea of the Aurora Borealis! That's something I want to see in RL before I die.... I like colorful homes, where I live all the homes look alike, it reminds me of a giant military base, bland ugh! I also like the waterfalls... I'll probably get it just because it's there lol but not sure if or how much I'll use it....
