I wonder - a gameplay question

What do you do with your game?

Some time ago, I read a simmer on the officials complaining that "nobody actually played the game anymore, but only usesd it for other things" like creating stories, hosting model contests etc

Ok, I do create stories. But I also play for fun.

How about you?

I build mostly. But I do have a family that I play when I just want to play. I used to do a story as well.

I've actually really been into seeing the genetics and how they play out with my family.

I tend to make a lot of sims that never get played, it's like paper dolls lol...

I do play tho, my biggest problem is sticking to one family for more than 2 generations... I keep telling myself that I'm going to make one family and stick it out for at least 5 gens but it hasn't happened yet lol...

My sim goal for 2013 is to write story, I've wanted to do that ince TS2 and I just never have so even if it's just a short story I AM going to do it next year... Mmmm hmmm right rofl!

I used to build more when the exchange would still let me upload. But being unable to share my lots has somewhat taken the fun out of building for me

I try and try to build but it seems that everytime I get one house almost finished something happens to my game... Seems the Llama Gods don't want me to complete a build... :/

I know, it´s a pain... I always save like every five minutes when I am building...

Speaking of which, do you give up on a family tree when the save gets to big or do you move the last generation to another town?

I always forget to save when I'm building, I need the saver mod next time I try...

I wish I could keep a family going long enough to have a bloated save lol!

Ahem... guess I wouldn´t have this problem if my male sims weren´t so much after the ladies in town, then *coughs*

I play mainly for fun, I start stories or whatever but my game gets so glitchy and laggy that I can't play a family for too long.

I am already working on the preparations for the cleanout... exported all the houses I want to keep and that...

Anna, I had that problem before. I was actually competing with myself to have all of the siblings of one family have children with everyone in town. The save became buggy after about 30 kids were born to one guy. His sister had about the same amount. Since then, I keep the kids down to at least 5. Sometimes smaller/larger depending on the family.

Did you ever read Nay's "Love for the Ladies" or "Montigo Party"? I really wonder how she does it, her game seems to work just fine...
