Getting ready
I haven been wanting to do this house for a looooong time, but I didn't think (at the time that I originally saw it) my house building skills were strong enough to attempt it. I'm ready to attempt it. This is probably going to be the largest house I've ever created. It's going to be on the 60 x 60 lot.....it's going to take some time, pray for me.
I think I must be crazy....
Edit: correction--64 x 64 lot

Re: Getting ready
I'm sure it will take time.. but with your skills I'm also sure you'll be able to do it!

Re: Getting ready
Got the shell up! Much easier than I thought it would be!!! (Make some small modifications though)
Re: Getting ready
Changed the some parts of the roof, and added the exterior color, driveway. Time to start on the inside...i think this is the part that will take some time. Oh and the house is only on a 50 x 50 (I think that's what it is...or is it 54 x 54???) lot.
Shutters were giving me a hard time, so I'm not going to add them (I might try again later...)

Re: Getting ready
Thanks guys! I started the living room and den but I dont' like the living room so I'm redoing it.
Re: Getting ready
Some updated photos.
I realized that I never showed you guys the inside of the "U" shape, so this is the center of the lot:
I thought this was pretty with the hills/mountains and the sky color:
Okay, so last night I started working on the living room. This is what I did:
Even though I thought it was nice, it wasn't the direction I wanted the interior to go. It seemed to fit a more victorian style house, and I wanted this to be more classic with some nice lines. Plus, it contrasted with the way I had done the Den.
So this morning I redid the living room and the other rooms.
New Living Room:
Hallway through the house (living room & dining room to the left, Den to the right, family room & kitchen straight ahead):
Den:
Dining Room:
1st Spiral staircase (on left):
Family Room:
Family Room & nook with 2nd spiral staircase:
Kitchen:
^I made a mistake with the kitchen floor. It's going to be the same wood and color as the hallway...

Re: Getting ready
Oh my gosh!! This house is BEAUTIFUL. I can't wait to download it.
I love building from house plans and you are really, really good at it. I love the living room. It was nice before but I think you really kicked it up a few notches with your second design

Re: Getting ready
The house is so gorgeous! I love how you decorate the inside - and agree that although the first lounge design was great, the second is even better!
Can't wait to see the rest of the house

Re: Getting ready
Crap. My game crashed this morning while I was adding some extra stuff to the yard. I had also started on the master bedroom, and didn't get a chance to save. Not a big deal about the master bedroom--I wasn't that far into it, and can remember what I had done enough to re-do it, but the yard! Agh...I can't remember if I saved yesterday (I keep my game "pinned" on the taskbar and just alt+tab out when I want to take a break. Opening the game and praying I saved the yard yesterday....
Re: Getting ready
Thanks Chatter.
And Dang it! It crashed on me again!
At least I saved the yard (YAY!). But now I have to figure out what's causing it to crash. Keeps crashing when I place this certain CC-bed...it's gotta be that (weird though, it's never crashed my game before in other houses). Off to try, yet again, to get the master bedroom done.

Re: Getting ready
So far so good. I deleted my cache files and script error files (from the crashes), and cleaned some files up. Finally got it to work last night, but it was moving as slow as a snail that I had to save and close (I was frustrated)the game down! But what was funny after I did that was the preview images of the "Buy" items would spin ridiculously fast (I should've taken a video of it...I was LMBO)
Re: Getting ready
O.o Crazy games! Hope you figure out what's causing it D:
Love the garden! It looks amazing, especially the pool! -wants house for self, r/l and sim!-
