Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs (1938:
Snow is the youngest (and shortest) of the Disney princesses at 14 (Walt want it to be 11..but the animators disagreed).

Snow's prince's role was dropped from the film (but they kind of dropped it very late..since part of that plot are in I think an Italian/German comic book)

real make-up was put on the animation cels to give Snow a natural skin tone.

is one of only 2 Disney princesses to be "dead" and than awakened by a prince

the first of 4 (?) Disney princesses to be born a princess.

the first of 3 other princess to be tempted by the vllian's offer of her wishes coming true (and the first of 2 giving in).

Walt only listened to people audition for Snow via a phone and the person was in another room.

Fansitsa (1940)
the name of the soccer? is Yensid which is "Disney" backwards

Dumbo (1940):
though people hate that the crows..are African-American....those crows are the only ones (besides Timothy) who are sympathic characters (I guess they understand what its like to be an outsider?).

Techianlly...Mrs.Jumbo..wouldn't have been kept alive..at all after her rampage..she would have probably been killed.. so I guess..those cirus people might have been a bit of a animal lovers..

Pinocchio (1940):
was suppose to be a longer scene at Pleasure Island
a forest fire was use for the next movie.

Mel Blanc does the hicups of the walking cat (Gideon?)..that cat was suppose to talk ..but that was dropped.
the voice of Gepetto was a Nazi Sympathiser..he drove the animators crazy talking about the glories..of..

Bambi (1941):
"Man is in the forest" is what the animators said when Walt came around to the studios
this is interesting After the oringal author, Salten, died his daughter renewed the copyrights them in 1954. When she died..her husband sold the copyrights to a company called "Twin brooks" who filed a lawsuit against Disney. Until 1996 on appeal the courts upheld Disney's view..that since there was no copyright with the book oringal in 1923 ..that it means that the book is in the public domian..which means the renewing of the copyrights in 1954..is invalid.

Both Disney and Salten were hunters.

the forest fire was a recyled scene from something that was planned for the Pinocchio
Cinderella (1950)
Because of the last 3 (well 4..if you count Fanstia) were fails. Disney insisted on filming the stuff in in live-action before animating.
Illene..the voice of Cinderella didn't intend to audition for Cinderella..but her friends asked her to record some tapes for them..and she did and the friends sent them to Disney..she beat 309 other girls.

Cinderella is the first of 3 other princesses not to be of royal blood but to marry into royalty

the glass slippers have 2 messages..1) is that Cinderella is so delicate that she can walk in glass shoes and not break them and 2)she can easily adapt to typically "uncomfortable" situations.

supposedly the Walkabout versions of Cinderella you see in Parks..have actual GLASS slippers..instead of the plastic type)

Alice in Wonderland (1951):
Alice's voice, voice the next girl proganist in the next movie.
Alice in Wonderland was the first to have the voice of the actor..along side their character

Peter Pan (1953)
voice of Alice does Wendy's voice
this is supposedly the first production ever of Peter Pan that used a male actor..instead of the traditional female.

Lady and the Tramp (1955)
Aunt Sara is supposedly the great-aunt of the unnamed human"baby" being Darling's mother's sister. (Orinally was suppose to be an overbearing mother-in-law)

Orinally Si and Am (Aunt Sara's cats)..the cats hide the rat's body as a joke..which meant certian "d" word for Tramp

Sleeping Beauty
the only proganist who has very few lines (next to Dumbo..who didn't speak at all)
the 2nd of 2 princesses to be "dead"
2nd of 4(?) other princess to be born of royal blood
1st out 2 princess not knowing about the royalty heirtage
Disney's Sleeping Beauty combines Charles Perrault's Cinderella and the Grimm Brother's Briar Rose..plus the Russian Sleeping Beauty Ballet (ie. the score).

Sleeping Beauty was such a huge disappointment in the box-office..that Walt focused mainly on live-action movies for 2 years.

the voice of Malifecent did the voice of Lady Treamine in Cinderella (and also does the voice of the Roma's head in the magical ball in the Haunted Mansion ride)

first of 3 other princesses to be seen barefoot

additional note: it seems like anything Disney-related..ie Kingdom of Hearts video Game or the popular (book) series Disney Kingdom Keepers...the villain of THIS story..is the villain in those stories.

101 Dalmatians (1961)
used a new technique called Xero
its rumoured that Cruella De ville's voice is the voice of the Narrator in Cinderella

Sword in the Stone (1963)
couldn't find any triva on this

The Jungle Book (1969)
can't find any triva on this--beside the well-known one of being Disney's last movie he worked on.

The Astriocats (1970)
the last movie Disney gave a green light too

Robin Hood (1973)
people get this Robin Hood confused with the 1953 Peter Pan..because they wear similar outfits
the voice of Prince John..grew famous for doing over-the -top villains.
This is the only known movie which has Prince John being Robin Hood's enemy instead of the Usual Sheriff of Nottingham

Friar Tuck was originally envisioned as a pig, but was changed to a badger to avoid offending religious sensitivities.

The Little Mermaid (1989)
the first fairytale film since 1959 (30 years ealier)
is the 2nd of 3 princesses to be offered of her "dreams coming true" by the villian..but only the 2nd one to actual give in.
first (and only) princess not to be born a human.
She is 3rd out of 4 princesses to be born of royal blood (hey she still is a princess under the sea right?)
stranglely enough the animators who worked on the 1989 movie make identical chances to the one Walt made and no one even knew Walt planned on making a TLM movie..until someone find the script.
is the first Disney Princess to have red hair.
Ariel is the First Disney princess to have biological siblings
Ariel is the only known human disney princess to have her own child

Beauty and the Beast (1991)
the voice of the aysslum owner did such a good job in this movie..he got the part of Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Belle is the 2nd princess not to be of royal blood..but married into royalty
until 2009, Belle was the final princess to have the same actor do both the singing and speaking voice.
Belle is the first of 4 other "princesses" to have saved her prince
Belle is the 3rd in a line of princesses who have their father present
Belle wears blue to distinguish her from the villagers
the famous ballroom scene uses computer technology
Belle is the first princess to have a male villian

you know how Belle always (?) seem to have one of her hair strands find their way onto her forehead and she is always brushing it back? well it something that happened to Paige 'O Hara when she auditioned for Belle

Ruppert Everest who later went on to play Prince charming in Shrek 2..tried to audition for Gaston..but didn't sounded "conceited" or aggroant enough

The physical character of the Beast is supposedly made up of the head structure and horns of a buffalo, the arms and body of a bear, the eyebrows of a gorilla, the jaws, teeth, and mane of a lion, the tusks of a wild boar and the legs and tail of a wolf.

Paige sobbed real tears while recording Belle's mourning of the Beast. Her performance was so intense that the director asked her if she was OK, upon which O'Hara immediately dropped out of character and said "Acting!"

Aladdin (1992)
the reason why Robin Williams is also credited as the merchant is because in a storyline..we would go back to the merchant after the movie was over..and he (the merchant) would have reveleved himself as being the Genie.
Aladdin was suppose to look like the Back to The Future Star Michael J. Fox but wasn't considered "appealing enough" so he was then based upon Tom Cruise
only movie to make reference to a relgion outside of Chirstanty
Jamsine..the only Disney princess to be a deuteragonist
Jasmine the only princesses to have kissed the villain
Jasmine one of a long line of princesses to be born of royal blood.
Jasmine first of 2 princesses to have married a poor boy.
Jasmine is the first one to wear parents
Jasmine until 2010 had the longest hair ever for Disney Princess
the first of 3 princesses to have 2 voices.
Aladdin was oringally was Alladin.

Pochantas (1995)
1st out of 2 "princesses" to be base on a real character
the only princess to have 2 love interests
1st of 2 Princess whose story is set in America
first and only princess who didn't get "a Happily Ever After" with her oringal love interest
Pochantas being 2nd of 3 princesses to be shown barefoot
is the first princess to be shown leaping from a ledge
and 2nd to be submerged in water
first Disney princess having a human friend

Mulan (1998)
the only princess that is either not born into royalty or married into royalty
2nd princess to wear parents
2nd princess after Aurora to have both mom and dad alive (she's ((Mulan)) even got a bonus with a grandma is still alive)
2nd of two princesses to be based on a real person
her oringal last name was "Hua" but for copyright reason was changed to "Fa".
is the only Disney Character to have a known family name
Mulan is the first and so far only character to disguise herself as the opposite gender
the first Disney character to have her cut
Mulan is the first of 2 heriones who kill the film's villian
is the first (and so far only) animated herione who is shown wounded
Mulan is 3rd herione to have a horse compain after Cinderella and Belle
2nd after Belle to come into contact with Snow
2nd to save her love interest
out of all the "Disney Princesses" Mulan is the only one shown writing down A Chinese language

The Princess and the Frog (2009)
Tiana and her voice actor are both lefties.
is the 3rd (and so far the last Disney Princess) to marry into royal blood. First being Cinderella, and later Belle.
first princess to work for money before and after marrying the prince.
Tiana is the first princess to have dimples
2nd princess to have her story set in America
first princess to have her story set in a not-to-long-ago setting
first African-American princesses
first princess since 1989 to be "transformed"
2nd, maybe 3rd? princess who knows how to cook (but the only one who actually had an interest in it)
1st princess to be shown as a child
First princess to have ONLY a mom alive in her movie (and 2nd herione to have a dad serve in the army, but 1st to have her dad die in war )
3rd princess to have been tempted by the villian's offer of "Dreams come true" but the oringal princess who is able to resist
1st princess since Belle to have same actor do both the speaking and singing voice of
Tiana might or might not be the first princess to have a green gown (unless you count Belle in "Something's There" scene..you know the porridge scene?)

Tangled (2010)
Rapunzel is the 2nd princess to have her hair cut..but the first princess to have someone else cut her hair
2nd princess to be seen as infant (Aurora being the first), 3rd to be seen as a child after Cinderella and Tiana
3rd princess to be barefoot
2nd princess not to know about her royal heritage
Rapunzel is 3rd disney Princess to have both parents alive through the movie
only Disney Princess to have green eyes
2nd princess to have her love interest die and come back to life
Rapunzel is the first since Ariel to have a female villain
Rapunzel is the 2nd "princess" to have a weapon. but first to use a frying pan as one

1st princess to be shown as a child

I don't know where you got that trivia, but I would agrue that that's not true. What about Cinderella at the beginning when she is with her father petting the horse? She sure looks like a "child" to me. Maybe not a young child of the age of 6 or 7, but an older child. I know they don't specifiy her age at the beginning but the narrator does say, "Here in a stately chateau, there lived a widowed gentleman and his little daughter, Cinderella." The "little daughter" part would indicate to me that she was a child at the beginning of the movie, and the fact they show her quite tiny compared to her adult father standing next to her.

Not arguing with you...it was just a "whaaaa?" moment when I read that. And then I see the trivia was corrected when I read the trivia for Tangled. Razz

It's in her movie resume that she did both...Did you click on the link and scroll through her list of movies she worked on? It wouldn't be under "resume" as doing both if it weren't true.

this isn't exactly triva...but I do have one thought..was the Wicked Queen really wicked? I mean she did give Snow the outfit she has for most of the movie....

I mean the dropped plot w/ the prince makes her more wicked..(I can explain what the dropped plot is if any wants me too.)

Yes, but she killed her so that she could be the fairest in the land. Her vanity, and her obsession to be the only one fairest in the land, made her wicked.

Sorry, but killing someone trumps giving an outfit to someone.

well I do know that in the dropped plot she tries to kill the Prince too. (via drowing)..

Some people think the dropped plot happened off-screen and that both the Prince and Snow are dead at the end of the movie and they're going into the after-life.

ouh, I know some disney trivia for Snow White!

Walt made sure the voice actress who played Snow White never had a role in the film business after Snow White, because she wanted Snow White's voice to be unique and found nowhere else.

Kind of messed up if you ask me. Razz
